Model Calculation

After changes have been made to any model, the software's engine will need to calculate how values flow through the modules.

To calculate the model:​

Open the model and click the Calculate button from the top Menu bar.

Then click the Calculate (+) button to calculate the model.

A prompt will appear to make sure you want to calculate. Click on 'Ok'.

When the red bar in the Calculation window is full and it says "Complete" above it, the calculation is complete. If the calculation window has been closed during calculation simply open it again and click on Status to view the status of the calculation. If the values in your views have not changed, simply click the refresh button on both the Assignments and Contribution Screens. 

Precautions​

If the calculation has taken much longer than expected or is not progressing, it may have failed. The following can cause a calculation to fail:

  • There are unresolved orphans in the model
  • There are circular allocations
  • There is a bug in the rules
